An original songwriter, talented guitarist and an entertainer with a wicked sense of humour — Max Wildwood is bringing the first night of his debut album tour to The Red Lion, Manningtree, on Friday 20th November 2026!
If you enjoy your live music with a generous helping of personality, humour and musical talent, this is one to look out for.
Max is celebrating the release of his debut album, Best Thing Ever, a collection of 10 original songs that showcases his versatility as a musician and songwriter. Expect a mix of upbeat pop, thoughtful ballads, quirky comedy songs and instrumental pieces, all brought together by his distinctive storytelling and playful sense of humour.
And there are plenty of stories to tell! Max has a knack for turning life's mishaps, romantic disasters and downright bizarre experiences into songs. His single Dumped on Facebook is a prime example, transforming a rather modern heartbreak into a memorable musical tale. His title track, Best Thing Ever, takes inspiration from a real-life tale of love at first sight — with a characteristically unpredictable twist!
A gifted guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Max writes, records and produces his own music, and his live shows bring together accomplished musicianship, original material and an entertaining personality that makes every performance an experience in its own right.
He has been building his reputation on the live music circuit across East Anglia, performing everywhere from local pubs and festivals to weddings, private parties and special events. His music has also received radio airplay, helping introduce his original songs to audiences beyond the gig circuit.
Now, with Best Thing Ever taking centre stage, Max is setting out on tour — and Manningtree gets to host the opening night!
The Red Lion is the place to be on Friday 20th November for an evening of live music, sharp songwriting, infectious energy and plenty of laughs along the way.
Tickets are just £15, with general admission.
Come along, discover an original local talent and be there from the very beginning of the Best Thing Ever tour. You never know — you might just be able to say you saw him before everyone else did!
